MEET OUR STAFF

Our staff includes licensed therapists as well as therapist assistants. Licensed therapists complete all evaluations and treatment plans. Your child may be seen by a therapist assistant if deemed appropriate by the evaluating therapist.

Harris Physical Therapy requires contractors to complete all training and certifications required by state rules, licensure requirements and regulations, Early Intervention requirements, and the rules of this agency. This includes continuing education requirements by the Arkansas State Board of Physical Therapy.

Roxanne Smithson graduated from the University of Central Arkansas in 1981 and has been working in Northwest Arkansas since that time.  She has been working exclusively with the pediatric population for the past 17 years.  She has been trained in DAFO casting, and is able to evaluate for and provide appropriate bracing to help improve foot position and ambulation.  Roxanne lives in Fayetteville with her husband Ed, and her two children, Kylie 21 and Clarke 18.  She looks forward to working with the clients of Harris Physical Therapy.

Kimberly Gasner, LPTA
Physical Therapy Assistant
kim@harris-physicaltherapy.com

Kimberly graduated from the University of Arkansas in 1985 with a Bachelor of Science degree in Natural Science.  After several years, she received her Associates Degree in the Physical Therapy Assistant program from NWACC in 1994.  Upon graduating, she moved to Tulsa and worked at The Physical Rehabilitation Center.  From there she moved back to Northwest Arkansas and helped open Sports N Spine in Rogers.  When it closed a few years later, she went to work with Joe Paul, who was eventually bought out by Health South.  She continued there specializing in backs and necks and as the Diretor of Women's Health.  Kim left Health South when her only child Cole was born in 2003.  At this point she opened Babies and Beyond, a retail baby boutique.  Years later, a customer mentioned an opening at a Physical Therapy clinic working with pediatrics.  Kim had always wanted to work with children and was excited for the opportunity.  She now works for Harris Physical Therapy while continuing to own and operate Babies and Beyond.  She loves working with the kiddos; but when she is not working at either job, Kim can be found spending time with her son, Cole and husband, Mike.
